The time had come for this family to re-invent their under-utilised entertaining areas and re-purpose them to suit their now 'grown-up' family of teenagers so that they could confidently welcome friends into their home.
The front entrance was infused with an informal grandeur by the addition of patterned wallpaper, painted walls and a hallway matt in a soothing shade of grey, plus new chandelier lighting.
Branching off this hallway, the dining room is stylistically linked with the incorporation of a feature wall lined with the same wallpaper, whilst others incorporate the hallway’s shade of grey. Deftly marrying the elegant period details of the house including dark grey wall column corners, the new circular dining table and chairs add a contemporary twist.
The adjoining sitting room is the most dramatically transformed. The former Ping-Pong recreational space has evolved to a luxurious lounge area with an organically patterned feature floor rug adding a jewel-like gleam to the area whilst striking a balance with the kinetic wallpaper pattern.
