Killara House

Deft design is the hallmark of this tailored-to-fit bathroom that makes the most of size, aspect and position. Transforming the guest bathroom in this grand heritage home meant shifting the layout of the room into a contemporary space that referenced the past. Luxury and glamour abound. The freestanding bath is raised to another level, surrounded by gardens and views of the sky, whilst patterned tiles and the polished steel elements in the wall mirror and chandelier light fixture deliver both warmth and panache.

The custom, curved vanity links three distinct zones in this bathroom: the spacious shower room, vanity/dressing space and the bathing platform, whilst the marble floors feature a central ‘mat effect’ through the introduction of smaller mosaic tiles. The end result in a space that is more like a furnished room than a bathroom.
